EMILY VARGA  

Hello! My name is Emily Varga and I'm currently a Broadcast Associate at CBS News on the show CBS This Morning. My interests expand far beyond the world of journalism - in writing, publishing, producing etc. I would like to more broadly work in the field of communications in an effort to make a difference in our world. As cliche as that my sound, I hope to produce work that I am proud of and work that is fulfilling.

My experiences range from reporting to producing both on television and radio, as well as writing for a film festival, working in marketing for a telecommunications company and working for a New Jersey State Senator.  I've interned for CBS News in London as well as Fox News in New York City.  I've also done work across multiple platforms including broadcast, print and social media as a student contributor at NBC News.  
 
I was born and raised in Piscataway, New Jersey - just a short distance away from New York City.  I'm a huge New York Mets, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Rutgers Football fan.
